Her heart lifted when she saw it. Never would she think a tiny piece of land could please her so, but it did. Now she felt silly for doubting the others, she had never been in the place, but she wished she had earlier. A fish eater’s paradise, it was. Maybe she would reside here from now on. It was a nice idea; she was still in Anore territory, so she wouldn’t be abandoning them. She’d simply… have a place of her own. Unless, of course, there was somebody already there. Grumbling at the thought, her eye caught sheen of silver. Knowing immediately what this signified, she tilted downwards.
Gaining speed, it was an exhilarating experience. The second she was to crash onto the water’s surface, which looked solid as it was still, she took one quick flap and straightened herself out. Legs front and center, she grasped the fish with piercing claws. For a moment she struggled along with the fish, so could not keep from staying dry, but eventually she lifted herself back into the air carrying the large salmon.
She held very tightly, carefully, but she was sure enough of herself not to drop the fish. The gap between her and the shore of the island closed, and she dropped the fish onto the pebbles. A quick U-turn and she landed less than gracefully on to the land. Walking awkwardly up to the fish, she began to feast on her meal, not quite sure if it was still alive. Either way, it tasted delightful. It was her favourite food, after all. She was not able to finish the large salmon, so she hid it in a crevasse of rocks for later use.
Now she remembered, she was to check if this place was already inhabited, bird or not. Then again, what creature would swim the lake just to settle unto this small land? Twisting her head in all directions, it seemed empty enough. But trees could hide many things… “Hello?” She squawked, loud and sharply.

Hakan flew lazily on the thermals, not needing to flap his long wings, he was deep in Anora territory, but he could not find his favorite fish anywhere other than Glasswater, he would risk a fight that he would most likely win for a meal this good. He landed on a small piece of land, and ate the two fish he had caught a moment ago. He had been using this small area to hide from Anorean scouts and warriors, just because Hakan didn't fear a fight, did not mean he needed to invite any trouble.
But trouble seemed to find him easily, an osprey landed while Hakan was resting, letting the fish digest. She ate a large salmon, larger than she could finish, she hid the remains after she ate her fill.
Hakan thought she would fly away, giving Hakan the chance to escape that he needed. But she didn't, she said one word, "Hello?"
Hakan knew he had been found, he stepped out of his hiding spot and revealed himself, "Hello, I am Hakan Koray, of Ithila, though I've not been in Skyplace long." Hakan said in his strange exotic accent.

Watching him step out of his hiding place, she was wary for the Harpy Eagle was slightly bigger than her, but did her best not to act in any way to show it. As he spoke, it sounded of some odd tongue. Ignoring it, and ignoring her own introduction for now, she held her ground and gaze. Odd, his eyes were red so he must be a fire element as well; but he said he flocked with Ithila. Then again, he could be another deceiver. She had met one herself, an air with blue eyes she was. But his mask, if even he was wearing one, would be much more useful.
“And what are you doing on Anore territory, bird?” She spat, hopping back a few clumsy steps towards her hidden meal. Even if he had seen her hiding place, she would still protect it. Rash of him, he might have convinced her to be of Anore if he hadn’t announced otherwise. “You’d better have a good reason, we don’t take very kindly to strangers,” she straightened herself out, “stranger.” She wasn’t so stupid as to think the male couldn’t overpower her. Stealing a few glances towards the other side of the lake, already she was planning an escape route to the safety of numbers.

"My reason is not a wrong one, its even the same reason you came. Glasswater is the only place that has my favorite fish, I just enjoyed two but a moment before you landed." Hakan said, his amber-red eyes without guile. Hakan ruffled his feathers and relaxed, showing he did not want to fight. He glanced at the sky, the sun was already advancing, if Hakan left now it would be dark before he got to Goldenground.
"I don't have time to fly back home, tonight, may I stay here in what is obviously your territory, I would pay you back by telling stories, I was told that I would make a skilled storyteller." Hakan said, bowing his head to again show he did not want to fight. "Would that be acceptable?" He asked, raising his head slightly to look at the osprey.
