Goldenground

Just beyond the Beaks is something that could be vaguely classified as a desert, further adding to the unique topography of the Eighth Continent. It is a vast plateau, sparse of life when the sun bleaches its sands. Rain rarely wets the parched earth of Goldenground, named for the heated golden earth that sifts through claws easily and is poor support for most plants. However, it is not completely devoid of life. Snakes can be spotted writhing through the sands, as can the rare cactus, which support the inhabitants of Goldenground.
